[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1528593627651{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]The Texas High School Athletic Directors Association Board of Directors recently approved Bob DeJonge-Director of Athletics-Keller ISD as the first THSADA Assistant Executive Director. Bob DeJonge will be retiring from the Keller ISD and move in to the newly created position this summer. He will work in this new position alongside THSADA Executive Director Rusty Dowling.
Bob DeJonge has spent 27 years in the Keller ISD with 7 of those years serving as the KISD Director of Athletics. Prior to this he served his first 11 years of coaching in Texarkana at College Hill JH and Liberty-Eylau HS as an Assistant Football Coach and Head Track and Cross-Country Coach. Bob DeJonge has been a part of the major growth to the Keller ISD Athletics by overseeing four 6A High Schools, seven middle schools and watching the 280 coaches that serve nearly 10,000 student-athletes.
Mr. DeJonge not only brought success to Keller, but he also as had major accomplishments outside of the district. In 2015 he was named the THSADA President and he has been a part of the NIAAA for over 15 years where he also served as Host Committee Chair for the National Conference and served seven years on the Awards Committee. Bob DeJonge’s outstanding athletic career for the last 18 years led him to be named as the 2015 PBK Sports-THSADA Athletic Director of the Year.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][mk_image src=”https://www.thsada.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/bob-dejonge-400.jpg” image_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
